Working at Caldic Techniek means
As an application engineer, you are the primary point of contact for technical advice, training, and support for customers and colleagues. From assisting with product selection to ensuring quotes and orders include the correct technical information, you are always well-informed about our suppliers’ products and developments, as well as their potential applications. In addition, you will use your knowledge and experience to assist our customers with programming and commissioning the equipment. This work sometimes takes place on-site abroad.
The team you will be joining consists of 12 enthusiastic colleagues—11 men and 1 woman—who look forward to welcoming you and your technical expertise.

What we're looking for
For this position, we are looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills and broad technical knowledge. You are solution-oriented, eager to learn, and meticulous; you work independently and have strong organizational skills.
Job requirements
- technical MBO++ education, preferably in electrical engineering or control engineering;
- customer-oriented, with strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- experience with generator controls or PLCs;
- proficiency in Dutch and English (spoken and written);
- ability to work effectively in a small team with a high degree of autonomy;
- class B driver’s license.
Additionally, you preferably have
- at least three years of relevant work experience;
- knowledge of electrical engineering on board ships:
- electrical safety systems
- generators
- power generation with generator sets
- parallel operation of generators;
- knowledge of communication protocols (CANbus, Modbus, etc.)
