Low Voltage Protection Relay

With DEIF’s Uniline products, we offer a complete range of low-voltage protection relays for a wide variety of applications.

Relays for optimal protection of your systems

DEIF’s Uniline is the longest-running product line from this leading company. Ever since the introduction of this product line, DEIF has been using it to offer highly reliable and flexible relays that can be used to protect your electrical systems and networks. For a reason this series of products is considered the basis for the development of other power management solutions.

Loss of mains relay

LMR series

DEIF’s LMR series provides you with optimal protection in the event of a temporary loss of mains power. These relays protect your generators from damage due to an unsynchronized reconnection to the grid. The LMR relay detects a grid failure provided a disconnection at any point on the grid results in a rapid change in generator frequency (Vector shift). A shutdown command is then sent to the breaker, protecting the generator from damage caused by an automatic reconnection to the grid.

  • Technical Specs

    • Marine certification
    • Vector shift protection (and df/dt ROCOF)
    • Prevents asynchronous reconnection
    • LED indication of fault code and activated relay
    • 35mm DIN-rail or flat mounting

Overcurrent relay

RMC series

The RMC series is a comprehensive series of overcurrent relays from DEIF that provide your systems with excellent protection against various forms of short circuit, overcurrent and ground fault protection.

  • Technical Specs

    • Marine approved
    • Ground fault protection on 2 levels
    • Built-in filter for 3rd harmonics
    • LED indication of fault status and for activated relay
    • Timer-controlled switching off
    • 35mm DIN rail or flat mounting

Frequency relay

RMF series

The RMF series helps monitor the frequency of generators in 1- and 3-phase networks. The RMF series provides protection against both under-frequency and over-frequency.

  • Technical Specs

    • Combined underfrequency/overfrequency protection.
    • For 1- and 3-phase networks
    • LED indication of fault status
    • Timer-controlled switching off
    • LED indication for activated relay
    • 35 mm DIN-rail or flush mounting

Power relay

RMP series

With the RMP series from DEIF you provide the desired protection against overload of your generator. Indispensable for systems where the power source has less power than the driven generator.

  • Technical Specs

    • Generator and motor protection
    • ANSI code 32
    • 3-phase measurement
    • LED indication of fault condition
    • Timer-controlled disconnection
    • LED indication for activated relay
    • DIN rail or 35 mm base mounting

Excitation relay

RMQ series

The relays in the RMQ series protect generators running in parallel in the event of under- or overexcitation. Especially in cases where applying an undervoltage relay for protection is insufficient.

  • Technical Specs

    • Generator under/over-excitation protection
    • ANSI code 40
    • Single-phase measurement
    • Timer-controlled disconnection
    • LED indication for activated relay
    • DIN rail or 35 mm base mounting

Voltage relay

RMV series

The RMV series are voltage relays from DEIF that can be used to protect generators, motors and transformers from under- or overvoltage in your systems. The RMV series are versatile units with multiple adjustable parameters.

  • Technical Specs

    • Under- and overvoltage protection.
    • U>: 100-120 %, U<: 80-100 %.
    • Single-phase measurement
    • Undervoltage/overvoltage (U< + U>)
    • ANSI code 27 and 59
    • 3-phase measurement
    • LED indication of fault condition
    • Timer-controlled switching off
    • LED indication for activated relay
    • 35 mm DIN rail or flush mounting

Multi-differential relay

MDR series

With the MDR series, DEIF comes with a state-of-the-art combined differential protection and short circuit protection relay for generators against internal short circuits (leakage currents). The MDR-2 gives you direct access to all settings and a chronological log of up to 150 historical events/alarms. The device’s integrated LCD display shows all measured and calculated values, eliminating the need for additional meters or wiring, and facilitates troubleshooting related to commissioning fault locations.

Available options include a block protechtion (generator + step-up transformer), option and a short-circuit and overcurrent protection option.

  • Technical Specs

    • Short response time (70 ms)
    • 3-phase current detection on both generator sides
    • Active adjustment of unbalanced current measurements
    • Measurement accuracy 1
    • Display indicator for all measurements
    • DIN-rail or flush mounting with remote display
